Orange Frame Productions was founded in 2015 after Jeff Boedeker and Nicholas Donnelly worked together at National Geographic and assigned as a producer and cinematographer team.
We produce content for tv and streaming, immersive media experiences, and museum exhibits. We push for new and innovative ways of storytelling while drawing from years of producing media content for top level tv companies, museums, and cultural institutions.
Our innate drive to explore produces hyper-cool new forms of media born from people that value and blend authenticity, story, art and design. In the end, it’s our goal to continue to advance nonfiction content by producing projects that are relevant, meaningful, and lasting.
Our team leaders have produced content for National Geographic, Discovery Channel, Science Channel, PBS, History Channel, the Smithsonian, large format museum theater films, immersive theaters, and other nontraditional formats.
Before OFP Jeff was a series writer and producer for National Geographic’s NYC office, where he was assigned to Emmy-nominated documentaries and series. Jeff founded OFP with the mission to advance science and natural history storytelling to be more relevant, relatable, and thought-provoking. Jeff became known for stretching the boundaries of storytelling by producing immersive multimedia exhibits for museums such as the Smithsonian. Throughout his career, Jeff won many awards for his work, and was last a 2023 nominee for best tv documentary script by the Writers Guild of America.
In October 2023, Jeff unexpectedly passed away. The OFP team continues our work in memory of him, embodying Jeff’s inspired pursuit to share never-before-seen perspectives of this unbelievable world.
Elizabeth is OFP’s executive producer and creative director. She discovers and develops important stories ranging from science to history. During her thesis studies at NYU, she became fascinated with the profound influence media has on expanding perceptions of reality. This fueled her passion to uncover hidden truths that allow us to look at science, nature, history, and art in new innovative ways. Before OFP, Elizabeth worked at the Sundance Institute, collaborating with rising directors on cutting edge projects. Today, she spearheads the production of OFP’s projects ranging from immersive museum exhibits to TV documentaries.
Nicholas is at the forefront of developing OFP’s signature cinematic productions and has been one of National Geographic's premiere cinematographers for over 10 years. He's also a licensed pilot who has led expeditions to the northernmost territory of Greenland to film the frontlines of global warming's effects. Nicholas' professional collaboration with OFP is rooted in him and Jeff working at National Geographic where they were assigned as a producer / cinematographer team. Nic is a graduate from George Washington University’s Corcoran School of Art and Design.
