Shenandoah National Park

Interpretive Film, Multi-Seasonal Field Production

Across four seasons, Orange Frame Productions trekked throughout Shenandoah National Park’s 80 thousand acres of forests and streams to produce specialty cinematography for the National Park Service, capturing the park’s diverse landscapes and life forms in all seasons, weather and moods.

We have filmed its wide range of distinct personalities, from the perspectives of soaring red tailed hawks and peregrine falcons at Franklin Cliffs Overlook, burrowing Shenandoah salamanders off of Stony Man trail, to migrating eels in the Rapidan river - astonishing moments that are impossible to experience with the naked eye.

Our masterful team is highly trained to film deep underwater, pilot heavy lift drones and direct ultra high speed Phantom Flex4K gear. We have joined forces with award winning Shark Week veterans to record reefs over 150 feet beneath the ocean’s surface; skillfully documented never before seen views of soaring glacial ridges in Greenland; and produced extremely detailed imagery of heady winds wisping through hawk’s feathers at 1,000 fps with macro lenses and super 35mm color sensors.

Our mission is to make the unimaginable a reality as we curiously find innovative solutions to capturing the world from the most extraordinary points of view.
